About Axel

Axel is a 3 year old French mastiff Labrador retriever mix. Originally from Lubbock Texas, Axel was found at a small animal shelter and taken into a working dog program to learn to perform odor work. After a few months Axel's handlers soon noticed he preferred napping much more than working. He was such a cuddle bug and sweet boy that one of the handlers brought him home. Axel (who also responds to Clifford) still loves napping, watching movies, and sitting with his people. Axel's current care taker has to move to New Zealand and is unable to bring him along.
