About Gunner (Bandit)

We need to Rehome this sweet boy. Gunner (previously named Bandit) is a 2 year-old we adopted in Feb. 2023 from the Haywood County Animal Shelter. The paperwork we received notes him as either a Boxer mix or Pit mix. He's an active dog who loves to walk, hike and even come along in car rides. He will run and run when we take him to the dog park. He has shown he enjoys the family's company and misses us when we are gone. Unfortunately, we are unable to keep him due to a change in our family's job schedules. It breaks our heart that we need to say goodbye. Gunner is fully vaccinated, neutered, microchipped and house trained. He enjoys relaxing on the cozy couch of his owner when he's allowed to. Otherwise, he'll remain on the floor next to you with his blanket. He loves to play tug-o-war and chew on his Kong toy or Nylabone. He loves to be petted in the morning as well. Gunner sleeps in his crate at night. This sweet boy could use some additional training to remain left alone or crate trained during the day. He's a faithful dog that needs some more vested time. We are unsure how he would do with other animals as he hasn't had too much exposure to them since we've adopted him. He did love running along the fence with them at the dog park the couple times we were able to take him. Gunner is over 60 pounds. We kept him on a lease around our young grandchildren to give him some exposure to kids. We were happy when he let them pet him and was wagging his tail in joy.
