About Chilli

CHILLI is a gentle, affectionate 2 year old Australian Cattle dog looking for a family to love and include her in their lives. She LOVES kids and is always seeking attention, cuddles, pets and belly rubs from them. A true people dog who wants to be with her humans. Everyone who meets her, loves her sweet, kind personality. Chilli likes playing frisbee, ball, chasing bugs at night, being held, petted, getting in the water, jumping into the water spray from the hose and looking out the front window waiting for her foster dad to come home. She will slowly rise on her hind legs and paw the air when she wants attention, or if sitting next to you, takes her paw and gently prods you asking for affection. Can be active and go for hikes, but also likes to lay around with her people. Dog friendly girl. Housetrained. Mostly crate trained, but she is not a fan if left for a long time in the crate. Has not shown any destructive behaviors inside or outside. Walks well on leash. Sleeps through the night on her dog bed in foster's bedroom. Rides well in the car. Smart girl who learned to use the doggie door quickly and knows basic commands. She knows how to swim - at a local lake she walked off a bank into water over her head, which didn't startle her. She just swam about 15 feet to more shallow water. Not a big barker, but will alert you to someone at the door. Has not been cat tested, so we will not be adopting her to a home with cats. Only homes where she won't be left alone for long hours will be considered. Chilli is 43 lbs, spayed, microchipped, up to date on vaccines, including rabies, has been treated for heartworms and is current on prevention. In addition to her adoption fee, this loving girl can be transported to CO, WA or OR for an additional fee.
