About Lattie

LOCATION: Blacksburg, Virginia DOB: 01/25/2023 Oh, sweet Lattie! She is a precious little Dane mix that is going to absolutely steal your heart! Her foster momma says, 'whoever adopts her is getting one of the kindest, smartest pups I have ever had.' Prepare to be bombarded with nothing but praise for this dear girl because that is exactly what is coming your way. Lattie is a very happy puppy and wants to be a part of her human and canine pack. She is incredibly social with people and with other dogs. She is so smart and watches the other dogs to learn what to do. Her foster home uses a doggie door and Lattie takes advantage of the big dogs walking through to come in under them. She is very treat-motivated and with the doggie door she is completely house trained. She is allowed to go in and out as she pleases except at night when she is in her crate. Her crate is her go-to sleepy place but she does like to see her people when she is in there. She is very gentle and doesn't use her puppy teeth to play although she occasionally will find things to pick up and hold in her mouth i.e. her foster momma's books! But she is easily misdirected and takes corrections well. Manner training is in progress. She sits nicely with the big dogs for cookies and waits her turn very politely. She LOVES water and jumps around in the kiddy pool splashing about and then just lies down in it. She is even getting to go to the beach! Her squeaky toys are her favorite and she can easily entertain herself by throwing them up in the air. She would be just as happy curling up in someone's lap though. Miss Girl is very respectful of the pack hierarchy, but also wants to be with them even when they aren't interested. She is a submissive girl within the pack. She is ahhhhmazing with kids. So far, she has not crossed paths with a cat but there is nothing to say she would not do fine with them. This sweet young lady is adored in her foster home but is looking for her forever home. A house with young kids and other dogs for her to romp around with would be ideal. She probably would not be happy cooped up in a crate all day. And once you meet her, you will want to spend all of your time with her anyway!
