About Lily

My boyfriend and I found what the vet thinks is a 2-year old pit bull/boxer mix on Easter. When we found her on the side of the road, she displayed no aggression or fear response -- she came up wagging her tail and immediately rolled over in submission, wanting belly rubs. Since it was Easter, we decided to call her Lily. She is low maintenance, listens to commands, loves to snuggle, and is easy to bathe. She has never displayed any kind of aggression, even when my boyfriend tested her limits with cold water at bath time. We understand the stigma surrounding unknown dogs, especially pit bulls, but even when she clearly disliked the cold water, the most aggressive action she took was to tuck her tail and walk away. She knows sit, shake, down, and kennel. She is pretty good at 'stay' but can be stubborn when she wants to come with you. She is gentle with the tug-of-war rope and loves to fetch. She has also been around my small dachshund, and they get along great. She comes with a kennel, a brand-new dog bed, and a large bag of food. She was in bad shape when we found her, with mange mites and lots of injuries from scratching, but has been fully rehabilitated and given a clean bill of health from our family's veterinarian. You don't have to take our word for it -- we would love to have you come visit her to test her out. She has come so far since the 'before' pictures and deserves a home that can love her as much as she will love them!
