About Sydney

Adoption Fee: $475
German Shepherd / Australian Cattle Dog
Age: Young Puppy
Sex: Female

Sydney is a wonderfully sweet 5-month-old, 35-pound female Shepherd mix puppy searching for her forever home. Given her current age and weight, we estimate she'll mature into a 50-65 pound adult. Pal's Place rescued Sierra, her two littermates, Shiloh and Sierra, and their mother, Sheba, a black German Shepherd, from an animal control facility in rural Kentucky. An overcrowded, chaotic, stressful pound is no place for any dog, especially a mother, and puppies. We heard their story and brought these sweethearts up to a wonderful foster home in Chicago to await meeting their forever families. Sydney's mother appears to be a purebred German Shepherd (or very high-content mix), but their father's breed is unknown. While we cannot say what their exact breed mix is, we think the puppies may have some Cattledog, Kelpie, or similar herding breeds in their family tree. The litter has two females: Sierra and Sydney, and one male, Shiloh. Sydney and her two littermates are friendly, loyal, intelligent, and playful puppies. They will make superb companions for active families with the time, energy, patience, and sense of humor, to raise young, mischievous, wickedly smart, herding breed puppies. They get along well with other dogs and are working on their crate training and housebreaking in their foster home. Remember that puppies this age and size need potty breaks every 3-4 hours, with lots and lots of playtime and mental and physical stimulation throughout the day. Please consider if you truly have time for a puppy before applying. Sydney and her siblings are spayed/neutered, fully vaccinated, microchipped, and started on flea and heartworm prevention. They are ready and anxious to meet their new families! Their adoption fee to the rescue is $475, and they can be seen by appointment after an adoption application has been submitted and approved by the rescue. Unfortunately, we cannot hold our dogs for any reason. Please do not submit an application unless you are ready to meet and hopefully welcome a new companion into your home within three days of applying. 'ۢ Sydney's adoption fee to the rescue is $475.
