About SABINE

***NEEDS FOSTER or FUREVER HOME*** Currently in Boise boarding kennels SABINE is a ~7-month-old white husky/shep gal with blue eyes. She is good with dogs and young children. We recently learned that she knows how to behave around cats! She is a complete sweetheart and a gentle playful personality�����%8F from a recent volunteer walker: 'She made a lot of stops to investigate things, but her energy and pace were so fast that we wound up making two full laps of the park. She passed a dog-to-dog test because there was a small dog off-leash that rushed up to us. They sniffed each other and went their own separate ways. SABINE loved the water and on several occasions took a full nose dive into it often leaping with glee as she walked through the creek. In the pond, someone apparently released a large amount of fried egg noodles. Sabine was happy to take a few mouthfuls. For most of the walk, she demonstrated no fear except when walking past an idling pickup truck and a second time, not really sure what caused it, perhaps I did not see a bird swoop down to protect its territory. I only know she was frightened because she caused me to do a pirouette. After spinning I was facing her, and I could see the fear in her eyes. For a moment she even feared me. And for most of the remaining walk in the park, she kept looking back at that same spot.' She was on the losing end of a dog fight so has some shaved areas where she received vet care.
