About Tracker

This handsome guy is Tracker. He is 5 1/2 years old. He probably has some chow mixed in with maybe some Boxer and whatever else is in there would have to be determined by a DNA test. The ears are pretty distinctive so that is why we are guessing maybe some Chow. He was originally adopted from us in 2020 but the family was experiencing issues with him and he has come back to the shelter. We have worked with him the past months and have not been able to recreate the behavior or being territorial here. His temperament seems pretty level but he is starting to go cage crazy and needs out of the shelter. He does REQUIRE a firm owner - someone who won't let him be in charge. He probably would be best in a home with no small children and not a lot of activity. Apparently a lot of activity going on creates anxiety for him. The vet did have him on Prozac short term but we haven't required that here. He does not do well with small animals. He has been an only dog but so far no problems with the other dogs here at the shelter in a playgroup environment and proper introduction. He does know sit, stay, down and shake. He is housebroken. He is not an excessive barker. He weighs 40 lbs. His adoption fee is $50.00 for the right adopter.
