About Tip Toe aka 'Tippy'

Lab / American Staffordshire Terrier
Age: Puppy
Sex: Female

TipToe (aka Tippy) is an apx 2 y/o, 50 lb. lab mix who was saved from euthanasia in a SC shelter where she ended up after having been caught in a snare trap and almost losing her foot in the process. She also has a few scars on her face and we can tell that she had been bred, just another throw away momma :(. Thankfully, we were able to step in at the last moment and get her to a vet where she was able to receive the surgery she needed to save the foot, only losing one toe in the process%BD%BD%BD'%BD%BD%BD| thus the inspiration for her name, TipToe! After finding herself ensnared in a trap in her native South Carolina that caused her to lose one of her toes, TipToe (Tippy) decided to relocate to NJ. So far, she is thrilled with her decision! She sleeps soundly on her comfy bed or her crate, her belly full of delicious food and treats, which she politely waits for and takes very gently. She is learning leash manners thanks to multiple daily walks filled with new smells and also enjoys running alongside her foster human while he pedals his bike. She likes playing tug of war, squeaking her toys, and chasing her ball. Tippy is looking for her forever family in a cat free home (too fixated with them). She can be a little exuberant when she plays so older children are best. She is currently living with two other dogs but because she is a bit of a 'Velcro pup', we think she will thrive in a home where she can be an only pet or where the other dogs are super laid-back and easygoing/tolerant. So, if you or someone you know are interested in adopting Tip Toe. Please email or text KENNEDY at (802)673-9026 for transport.
