About Cassie

We fostered Cassie, 4 year old lab mix, for a friend a year ago. They can no longer take her back because they now have chickens. We were going to accept her as a 'foster failure' but sadly we're not the best fit for her. She quickly stole our hearts, her nickname is 'Love Bug'. She's the sweetest girl. So gentle and loyal. Easily trained. Is amazing with kids and adults. Great with other dogs, cats, and goats. Loves playing, taking hikes, and going on walks. LOVES to cuddle. She's not hyper but moderate energy level. Unfortunately, she has learned how to get past our electric fence (installed by us) and over our 4.5ft fence that covers 2.5 acres. We currently don't have the time or money to build a new fence. Our neighbor has shot another neighbor's dog 2 years ago and is now threatening to shoot her, even though she's caused no harm or damage. She has also killed several of our chickens when she gets out. She has lived her whole life as an outdoor only farm dog but will come in for periods of time to cuddle and hang out. She has ran off several packs of coyotes near our farm by herself. Currently, she's on a lead outside but she's miserable because we don't have as much time as we'd like to take her on walks and hikes. This girl deserves an amazing forever home that will give her unconditional love and more than adequate exercise. Must have land for her to run or be an active family. No chickens. Located in Corinth, KY. I'm a Vet Tech, she's up to date on vaccines, flea/tick medicine, and all preventative care. She is a very healthy girl.
