This is being posted by a volunteer. Please be prepared to tell the staff about yourself and your family, the city in which you live, your family dynamic, other pets, your fenced yard- and what else will help identify your family as a good match. Do not ask via email if the animal is available. Please call the shelter for the most up-to-date information about this dog. Meet Ben The word root Ben finds its origins in the Latin word, Bene, meaning 'well' and is used to convey goodness, wellness, reverence, and honor or blessings. Ben would love to bless you with his presence in your life! This very good boy is ~6 years young and ~55 lbs. Being a mature lad, he's still got a lot pep in his step. He came in as a stray, so we don't have a bunch of history on him! He's gotten along with every dog he's met and never fails to maintain a positive attitude (even when the other dog is being negative)! The finder stated that she had him in an enclosure with her chickens and he didn't show any interest towards them. We have no history on him with cats or kids, but we believe he would do well with proper guidance and introductions. Ben is a little more shy meeting new people, yet once he comes out of his shell, he's playfully bounding asking for love, treats, and toys! He is very treat motivated and will sit for a cookie! He's fixed, vaccinated, microchipped, and up to date on parasite preventatives. It is $165 to bring him home! If you are interested in meeting this pet, please call (541) 474-5458 for an appointment. All appointments are made by phone (not email, Facebook or PetFinder) for the most up-to-date availability of the pets and the schedule. If we do not answer, we are either closed or caring for the animals, so please leave a voicemail - all voicemails are returned as soon as possible. Thank you!
