About Prudence

URGENT FOSTER/ADOPTER NEEDED! Video included. Everyone, meet beautiful Prudence! This sweet girl loves to go by Pru! She is looking for a new foster or better yet her forever family. She was completely emaciated and on the euthanasia list at the Devore Shelter. She was pulled and saved by a rescue group on her very last day. The shelter staff was afraid of her because of her size. Pru was extremely fearful and stayed at the back of her kennel. She was completely shut down. Her heart and spirit were broken. It took 3 people to carry her out to the car when the rescue group came to pick her up. It's been 7 months now and Pru has made an amazing transformation, thanks to her experienced foster Mom who was very patient and loving and kind to Pru during her rehabilitation. She has come such a long way and has made significant progress. We are so very proud of her. Pru is absolutely stunning!! She is also the sweetest dog. You would not believe that she is the same dog that had to be carried out of the shelter those months back. Pru is currently in training. She is gaining confidence and she loves all dogs- big or small. She is getting continuous socialization and training. About our sweet Pru: She is very sensitive to your tone of voice. It's obvious that she had been mistreated. She walks loose leashed with the trainer. She can be free on a long line to interact with other dogs with no issues. Pru is NOT a leader in any way- BETA not ALPHA. She is a good follower. She is housebroken and loves her kennel. Pru is super sweet!! She needs an adopter that will give her consistency and structure and provide her with a loving forever home. She must be in a home with at least one other active dog. She needs a human with soft energy. Someone that is kind and gentle and leads with love and grace first. If you yell, Pru will shut down and freeze. We want Pru to flourish, have continuous socialization and remain confident. Consistency is very important in her growth and well being. Pru is a total sweetheart and incredibly special beyond words. Pru is about 1.5 years old, spayed, microchipped, and fully vaccinated. She is healthy and thriving and ready for her amazing loving forever home!
