***NEEDS FUREVER HOME*** Currently in Ketchum Meet MOWGLI! He is a 3 to 4-year-old sweet Alaskan Malamute mix boy. He is 65 pounds, independent and strong. From his foster family that includes a life coach for dogs and a revolving pack of dogs each day: 'MOWGLI has been with me for a while now and he has adjusted to life in a boutique boarding house perfectly! He is a cheerful and happy small malamute mix. He loves his revolving pack and plays well with everyone. He is a good communicator with the other dogs (puppies), letting them know if they get too close without being grumpy. MOWGLI is a good hiker who checks in often. He sits and waits for his meals without a command. He has learned to 'come' nearly every time he is called. He is also trying hard to wait until I say 'okay' to go thru a door or jump from the car but that is really difficult for him. He is so excited to be loved and a part of a pack he is bursting with excitement. MOWGLI is not a barker but he does have a malamute voice to express his feelings. MOWGLI is very smart...Foster mom is working on sit, wait, and come. MOWGLI has not been around cats or kids, but foster mom believes that he will likely not care about them. She hasn't seen any type of prey drive in him. MOWGLI likes toys and antlers. MOWGLI loves all of his furry friends. He is a very good member of the pack. He likes to play, enjoys water, and is also very calm in the house. MOWGLI does not need much. We recently learned that he is 'self-cleaning'...his fur seems to repel burrs. MOWGLI is fearful of some men...particularly when a man comes to my house. MOWGLI was fine with the male veterinarian. MOWGLI is a picky eater but loves to eat what he likes. He seems like he will make you earn his affection, but once you earn it, he will give his whole heart.
