About IARA

***NEEDS FOSTER or FUREVER HOME*** Currently in Jerome boarding kennels This adorable, friendly medium-sized (only 44 lbs) 4.5-year-old spayed female named IARA has been loved and adored by her family for her entire life. They took great care of her, including routine vet appointments, teeth cleaning, etc. IARA loves trampolines, kids and other dogs. She loves to run and chase the ball with people. She is very clever and while she can figure out how to dig under a fence, she also uses her smarts to solve other problems. She enjoys working dog puzzles where hidden food is trapped. She also learned to push her nose up against the glass to make a goofy face to get let in the back door. ���S IARA loves pets and gentle play on the ground and has an amazing ability to know not to bite hard when she wrestles, even with kids. She loves to 'talk' and grumble and make her own vocalizations to express what she is going through. IARA snuggles on the floor or couch with anyone who will let her. She enjoys water and when she escaped we often found her at the river swimming in it. IARA is looking for an active family with a secure yard that can keep her busy (e.g., exercise and doggie puzzles) so that her smarts don't continue to get her in trouble. BACKGROUND: IARA found ways to escape her yard and was a terror in the neighborhood for cats and chickens. After animal control got involved, the family tried to rehome IARA, but their efforts were unsuccessful. They believed giving her to FFAR for rehoming was better than putting her down.
