About Petunia

*Petunia *1 year old female Great Dane *UTD on vet care, vaccines & preventatives�%A0 *House trained and working on crate training.�%A0�%A0Her family will need to continue working on her being comfortable in the crate *Good with other dogs large and small, but it's best if small dogs have experience with large breed dogs, she gets excited and doesn't know her size. *Cats unknown *Kids 8+ yrs old unless they've received lived with a giant breed dog. She doesn't know how big she is and may accidentally knock a younger kid over. *5 ft physical fence REQUIRED- she loves to chase squirrels and needs the fence for her safety and the squirrels. *Large or giant breed experience preferred�%A0 *Located in a foster home in Hamilton, GA Petunia is sweet social butterfly who happiest when she is near her humans- laying on the floor or back porch and you are nearby.�%A0 Whenever I do yardwork or gardening in the backyard,�%A0she loves to lay nearby and watch.�%A0�%A0 She loves meeting new people and loves going for school pick up in the afternoon.�%A0 She puts her head out the window and loves the teachers petting her.�%A0 Going to Lowe's is fun and exciting for her and multiple people coming up and petting her thrilled her. She will come and let you know when she wants pets and loving.�%A0 Petunia would be happy outside sunning all day long- she is definitely a solar powered Dane.�%A0 She now knows sit (with treats) and down (with treats) very eager to please and food motivated.�%A0 Place is a work in progress.�%A0 Petunia loves going on walks in the neighborhood, good on a leash but strong.�%A0 Squirrels are an instant need to chase but with constant redirecting she is getting better.�%A0 Petunia loves being in the backyard with her foster fur brother .�%A0 They have a blast doing zoomies together or she will do them on her own.�%A0�%A0She would be good in a home with or without other dogs.�%A0�%A0 Petunia loves all toys plush, balls that squeak, and enrichment toys.�%A0 She is a big toddler and has to be monitored because she will try to eat toys due to not understanding her size.�%A0 Petunia is still learning the counter is off limits so must be monitored�%A0at all times (again BIG toddler).�%A0�%A0 Petunia loves the teenagers in the home and is instantly excited whenever they spend time with her.�%A0 She loves her people home and would do better in a home with someone that works from home or is retired.�%A0 She is a leaner once she trusts you and is an absolute sweetheart. Petunia came to us with a case of happy tail which despite all efforts became necrotic and she had to have her tail amputated but now she has the cutest little wiggly nub. Petunia is UTD on vet care, vaccines & preventatives. She is located in a foster home in Hamilton GA.�%A0 We adopt NATIONWIDE but require adopters to travel to the foster home with their current dog/dogs (to ensure they will be friends) to pick up.
