About Enzo

Hello, we are making the difficult decision to rehome our dog Enzo. Enzo is an all white, 100lb, 2yr old German Shepherd/Lab mix. Based on his DNA results he is 50% German Shepherd, 25% lab and 25% border collie. We adopted Enzo when he was four months old from a rescue in Mississippi. He is an incredibly loyal dog who likes to work. He has been in pack dog training since we adopted him and is around dogs all the time. We have been working with two different trainers, including a behavioral training since Enzo was a puppy. He is very smart and good at his commands, but Enzo is very protective of his humans and can be aggressive towards other dogs in our neighborhood and also our cat inside the house. Enzo loves playing with kids, running, digging, chasing and chewing on balls, and swimming. Enzo is in his element when he is in the woods and following new scents. His perfect home is one where he has a large outdoor space to run and explore in, away from cars and other loud noises since he gets spooked easily. He would do best in a home with other dogs, but he will need to first become acclimated with them. We live in a small house and my wife and I are now working most days back in an office instead of at home. Therefore we have to bring Enzo to doggy daycare which is stressful for him. Enzo needs freedom that we can no longer give him. Enzo is up to date with his vaccinations. Enzo needs someone who is willing to spend time giving him work to do and also training.
