***EXPERIENCED DOG OWNERS ONLY*** 4 y/o N/M Rottweiler. He is in excellent health, and great with kids and adults. Loves to play, swim, run, and just getting attention. Obedient and very food driven. Up-to-date on DA2PP & Rabies (3y), also heartworm/flea/tick prevenative. Needs to be an *ONLY DOG HOME*. He is good with other MILD/SUBMISSIVE dogs - if he's known them awhile. He has a huge 'unconfident alpha' drive, which us the reason he is not good with other dominate dogs. We've never had to rehome a dog before so we will be very cautious to who he goes to - due to his history. The reason we are letting him go is because, though sweet and works well with our pack, *he has fatally injured 2 dogs and serious injured a 3rd* when unmonitored, he is extremely unpredictable. We have 4 other dogs, whom he gets along with - but does always challenge our larger male and picks on the other two. He was a rescue, we adopted and had rehabilitated him up until this point - we thought he was better until a recent incident. We no longer have the time to work with him, and it is unfair of him to live a life on a chain. He needs to be able to play. He needs constant training and someone who can run/tire him out everyday. With how much energy he has, he can be very destructive. This is why he needs an experienced owner. With an experience owner he can be among other dogs. He use to be enrolled in doggy daycare before we moved, and got along with the mild group of dogs. We take him to dog parks and he tries to play - but was not socialized as a puppy so he takes corrections from other dogs as a challenge. He really is a sweet boy and loves attention and kids, but just needs more attention and training than we can give. He does knows a couple tricks, and is house broken (but will get into any trash or food laying around). He is also kennel trained & leash trained. He comes with a slow feeder bowl, some toys, and some clothes (for the winter). He is also microchipped (so just needs to be transfered to your name).
