About Groot

Shih Tzu
Age: Young Puppy
Sex: Male

**ALL ADOPTIONS INCLUDE A HOME VISIT, YOU MUST LIVE%A0NEAR BROWARD & PALM BEACH COUNTIES** This dog's adoption fee is $350 to go towards their vetting%A0(vaccines, spay/neuter, heartworm/Ehrlichia/Lyme test, fecal test, pre-op blood work, dental cleaning, and microchip as well as grooming if needed). If you are interested please fill out the%A0adoption application%A0For additional information regarding our adoption process, please check our%A0FAQ's Page.%A0 Love%A0is still emerging after this little boy had been abused by children. Five-month-old Groot is a Shih Tzu%A0purchased from a breeder and raised in a home that didn't know how to treat or care for him. He is affectionate when you catch him from wherever he is hiding. He is just getting used to moving around the house as if he never was out of a crate! He will wait in a room that he feels safe in and peek out to see what is going on. He does play with toys and he is interested in other playful dogs like adoptable 6-month-old Tinsley Maltese. They are not a pair but can easily be a FAB hypoallergenic duo! Groot is healthy and ready for an adult home that is able to ease him out of fear. He does not bite but he was quite%A0a challenge at%A0the groomer! You will need to get him desensitized from being touched with grooming tools. You may need to be a big tipper with the groomer in order to keep his face clear%A0of debris and mats.%A0 Please think forward with his expenses with heartworm and basic training before applying. Grout would be content to be with a fellow furry pal to help him trust people more. In the right forever home, Groot will be what he's meant to be: a happy little dog!. *All dogs in the care of Get a Life Pet Rescue live in loving foster homes while waiting for their perfect match. They don't live in cages or crates (unless there is a medical reason to do so.) They are treated as family pets while in our care. *%A0All dogs in our care are fed premium brand holistic food as well as supplements and vitamins specific to each dog's needs. We don't buy inexpensive bulk dry kibble, our rescues are fed premium wet food diets as part of a comprehensive rehabilitation program to ensure maximum health.*All of our rescues receive complete quality vetting including full dental cleaning with pre-op bloodwork, spay/neuter, vaccines, and grooming.
