About Ruby

Ruby is still hoping someone will fall in love with her! This little pistol in a compact package will be the light of your life if you give her a chance. She is devoted to her human, and makes the best snuggle bug. Ruby has a zest for life. She loves to play and has lots of silly antics. She enjoys her walks and is great on leash. She rides well in the car and is so quiet you can easily forget that she is there. Ruby has dysplasia so had a hip replacement. She is all healed up and her bionic hip is doing its job. She does have elbow dysplasia in her front leg which you can notice once she is tired, as she will have a slight limp, but it doesn't slow her down. She does need exercise, and needs one or two short walks a day. Swimming would be ideal for her. Keeping her busy with nosework/scent detection. Going on outings to the store or coffee shop. Playing with her toys, snuggling while watching a movie. Things that would not be good for Ruby are jogging, rough housing, flyball, agility, frisbee. Ruby loves people and other dogs. She can be protective of the home, barking if a stranger enters, or there is a knock on the door. However, once she knows that person is a friend and not a foe she will happily welcome them with a wiggly butt and snuggles. Ruby's ideal home would be adult only, or older children. A home that likes to include their dog in their daily life. A family that enjoys a nice stroll around the block. Lots of toys to play with, especially chew toys. A family that enjoys their dog showing them affection.
