About Chaz

(Courtesy Post) Chaz is a BEAUTIFUL 5-6 year old boy with a heart of gold. He went from being a scared, insecure, low confidence fella to a bright eyed, beautiful and trusting dog. I'm seriously tearing up just writing this. I love him with my whole heart. Chaz walks PERFECT on leash and usually is happy with one 30 minute walk a day plus some zoomies in the yard. He looks so happy when he zoomies. He's also a middle aged man so he'll be dragging behind you towards the end of your walk. I have taken Chaz in public, had strangers over and handed them his leash, and I have not worried about this big lovable boy. Chaz prefers an all adult home. Quite honestly there's a single woman out there looking for a best friend and he's it, hands down. But he loves my partner- just as much. Due to history, we won't place him with kids but he's always been respectful to my son with their limited interactions and when tons of toddlers were running around Tractor Supply... he didn't care at all. Chaz knows sit and shake. He has beautiful recall. I can pet him while he eats and he takes treats gently. Chaz has been with Operation Save a Shelter Dog since 2018. He's shown his courage and resilience. He's shown his strength. He's shown his love. He comes with an 'all about Chaz Jazz' and his behavior optimization package means his adopter gets help from me when needed. Seriously, I love him so much. He gets so happy to see you that he grunts and 'talks' to you. I let him in my face, in my bed... he kisses me when I'm sad. I will hold your hand through the entire adoption process with training integration in your home. He's one of the best dogs I've had come through my training program from another rescue. And since I can't keep them all.... (seems unfair to me really) I promise to help his furever home in every way possible.
