About Pearlita

Meet Pearlita !! This super tiny little girl is so cute and fun. She's an active little girl that loves a good cuddle after a long run around the yard. She can be shy at first and then she is wide open love and fun. Pearlita is a female, 1 year old, Beagle. She is tiny beagle and only weighs 14 pounds and should be full grown. She will be spayed, microchipped and up to date on her vaccines as part of her adoption. She is Heartworm negative. Pearlita has done very well with other dogs of all sizes. She loves having another dog or several dogs to run laps around the yard with. She's never met cats so we are unsure how she would do. She has done great with all the kids she has met so far and seems to really love them. She is a bit shy so kids old enough to be calm until she settles in would be best. She is mostly potty trained as long as you take her out frequently. She's been great on car rides both in and out of the crate. She does decent on a leash and is very good about crate training. She loves to be outside running around and often does not think it's time to come in when you say it is! This is probably the area she needs the most training with currently. Having another dog that she can follow inside helps a lot. Pearlita has a medium to high energy level. She's still all puppy. She is not very hyper inside the home IF she has the outlet for her energy in the yard. She is very fast and will run laps and laps around the yard. This is what seems to make her the happiest. For that reason she will not go to a home without a fully fenced in yard. She has not had any issues sharing food, treats or toys with people or other dogs. She loves all types of toys and loves to play. She is shy at first and it appears she was kept outdoors prior to coming to us. She is learning quickly how nice it is to be a house pup! She has gotten very snuggly as she settles in. If you're looking for a fun active dog in a tiny package this girl is the one!! ***She is currently not very vocal but beagles are known for barking, howling etc. If you cannot handle the potential of her becoming a vocal pup then please pick another breed.
