About Hank

Hank is heartworm positive. Please don't let this prevent you from adopting him. He deserves a loving home like all of the other dogs, and the rescue will cover his treatment. For this reason, we are only considering local placement (within 1 hour drive time of Wake Forest NC) until after his treatment is complete. Kid friendly, cat friendly and dog friendly! Do you have a home with a variety of inhabitants? Then Hank could be a wonderful new addition! He doesn't know what the word stranger means and just loves everyone he meets. Hank is also a road trip fanatic, so he would be super happy if you take him along on your family outings! Hank is an amazing lap dog. He is very happy to sit with his foster mom and will follow her around the house when she gets up. He is trying to keep her from doing that since he really is super sweet and just wants to give her cuddles. Hank does not require a fenced yard since he is pretty much content hanging out on the sofa with his family. When he isn't snuggling, Hank likes a good stroll through the neighborhood and meeting new friends. He also enjoys the water and swimming, so if you are a family who likes water related activities, Hanks says you have just got to meet him! Hank is just a chill, happy, easy-going kind of a guy and would likely we a good fit for a not super active family or retiree kind of family. Bonus - he is already house trained, crate trained, and doing well learning nice walking manners on leash. Hank can be sneaky and door dash right past you so make sure you are keeping an eye on him when people are coming and going. (DOB 2/13/2012) Hank is a 50lb male Hound mix. As part of Hank's $300 adoption fee, he is neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccines, and current on his monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives.
