About Cheyenne

You can apply for our wonderful dogs at https://www.milehighcanine.org/adopt/adoption-application/. This little lovebug is a petite, pocket pittie mix that's around 1 year old and about 40lbs. She has an adorable little nubbin', which is code for 'docked tail.' Cheyenne is (mostly) past the puppy antics and housebroken. She is extremely affectionate, and her happy wiggle-walk will make your heart melt right into your shoes. Cheyenne came to us after spending much of her life in the shelter, but it didn't take her long to learn how to be a beloved pet and to enjoy being loved in a warm, safe home. She is well-mannered and a smart, fast learner eager to earn treats. She is a perfect companion for an active individual, couple, or family who will love to take her on walks, runs, or hikes. She likes her down-time too and will chill next to you while your work or hang. Cheyenne gets along well with most dogs she meets, usually going paw to paw with the energy they dish out. She can be shy in unfamiliar situations and meeting new people, but she warms to pretty much everyone if given space to approach them on her terms. She will be happiest in a home where she is supported with gentleness and patience as she gains confidence to trust and navigate her world. She needs a 5'-6' fenced yard as she's found her way up and over shorter fences. She'd do well with another dog, but she'll do equally well as the only dog who receives all the snuggles and love you can give her.
