Darlin 'Will be available for Adoption 5/20/23' Stray | Female | Australian Cattle Dog Mix | Approximately 3Y | 30lbs | HW+ low positive, Treatment start day 5/10/23 This little girl is sweet, timid and shy with amazing manners! She loves attention, is partial to men and her little butt wiggles are the absolute cutest. She really doesn't take an interest to toys, just wants all the lovings! She likes the outdoors but prefers the Air conditioning. When outside she wags her tail around the other pups! She even got up on the fence next to another dog and wasn't phased. She's got some energy but she knows how to sit and wait patiently. She immediately did all her business outside comfortably and keeps her kennel very clean without accidents, although she is not a fan of her kennel and it seems like she may have a touch of separation anxiety causing her to whine the first few minutes putting her in the kennel. She is easily leashed and walks well on a loose leash. She knows sit and roll over commands and responds very well with treats. Previously Darlin and her four puppies were picked up by a kill shelter when a citizen called stating mom and puppies were thrown in a trash can and abandoned. They were all set to be euthanized minutes before we contacted them, but the Lord had better plans for all their lives. The puppies have been adopted from the shelter we pulled her out of. Oddly, she does have severed abrasions missing, in triangular shapes and pieces of skin on her right side that have healed from the inside out, but there is some nasty scars. We are not sure what happened, but it does look like an abuse case. Despite what she has been through, Darlin is very friendly and loves to be noticed.
