About Diva

Diva is in urgent need of a new foster home, or a forever home. A foster placement didn't work out as planned (absolutely no fault of Diva's). Diva is a young dog who had a lot of changes prior to going to foster - she has been in boarding for a long time. She needs time to decompress - at least 4-6 weeks - and people who will give her the time to settle in and get comfortable in her new surroundings. Diva is a mixed breed dog who loves people once she gets to know them - she is initially nervous with people she doesn't know - not aggressive. Once she gets comfortable with you (treats definitely speed up the process), she is protective her person. She will do best in a one- or two-person adult home or one with older teenagers, with people who are experienced with the breed (she is a pit bull/Blue Lacy mix). She does need to be an only pet. Diva loves walks, playing in the yard, toys, and cuddling up with you. She is a smart girl who loves to learn. She had a hard beginning of life and - now only about 2 years old - we are determined that her present and future will be happy and bright. She's also gorgeous!
