About Nyla

Nyla Pit Bull/American Bulldog Mix Female 3 years old 56lbs Hi there, I'm Nyla! I'm a happy-go-lucky girl with a curious and adventurous personality. And I can't wait to find a forever home of my very own! I am such a love and I adore getting affection from my humans! I'm such a sweetheart! But I also have lots of fun pup energy and I'd do great in a home where I can get a lot of daily exercise! Puzzle games, busy boxes, and toys that challenge my mind keep me entertained. I also love going for runs with my human. I love playing fetch with my toy football too! I'm a fast learner and know several commands like sit, lay down, and drop. I love to learn and I'd do great in a home where my humans can continue to teach me so many new things! I'm already potty trained and I'm learning to like the crate but also have been doing well with free roam of the house when left alone as well. I do great with other dog friends and I live with two dogs in my foster home. I am really playful with other dogs and sometimes my playfulness can be a little overwhelming for some pups. So I'd do best with dogs that are generally my size or bigger and dogs who like to play like I do. I haven't met cats yet so I can't be recommended to a home with a cat. I have met older kids so I think I'd do really well in a home with kids 5yrs old+. In a previous home before I came to PawsCo, I was left outside alone for long periods of time so I got used to jumping fences to chase after squirrels and rabbits (even a 6ft fence! I'm so athletic!) So I need to 're-learn' that staying in the yard is important! I need a family who will not leave me outside unattended and when I am outside, I do best when my human has me on a long lead to keep me safe. I'm also learning not to rush the door when someone comes in, and to be calmer when meeting new people. My foster family says I'm really smart, and am making great progress! I'm such a sweet and loving girl. Sometimes I'll even comfort my foster doggy sister when she's feeling stressed. I'm grateful to have found humans who care for me and show me love. I'm still working to forget my old life, which wasn't the best, but positive reinforcement, love, and patience are helping me adjust.
