About Tootsie

We've been asked to help Tootsie find her home. We need a CT foster or forever family for her. Tootsie is a border collie / cattle dog mix, about 1-1/2 years old. She's not a large dog but she's 'compact' �٪� She weighs about 49 lbs. She is a pretty high energy girl and does well with male dogs of similar energy. She likes to boss the ladies around. She's great with older children (10+), is house trained, crate trained, and knows all of her basics. Tootsie needs an active family - if you hike she'd love to hike along with you. A fenced yard would be fantastic for her. We are looking for a family experienced with the breed, or other herding breeds. She will need mental as well as physical exercise - herding dogs need a job to do.
