About Sweetie Petey

Sweetie Petey is a friendly, sweet, and gentle dog! He is already so loving with his foster parents and dog sister. He is very curious about his cat sisters, but he hasn't had a lot of unsupervised time with them. He loves everyone he meets and spreads joy wherever he goes. He is a striking dog with spotted legs and some brindle-type markings. He can already sit on command and is getting used to the great indoors. He is slowly learning to form secure attachments as he likely never had humans to call his own. He is leash trained and loves hiking. Even off the leash, he will stay very close to you. He loves cuddling and is a loyal, happy dog. With love, time, and a little more training, Pete is going to make a great addition to someone's family. He is very likely a descendent of a ranching dog (cattle dog mix), but we think he looks like a pointer and he has even pointed at things to us! It is hard not to keep him! He is really such a special dog!
