About Princess

Hi my name is Princess. I'm about a 1.5 years old 45 pound Lab mix. I happen to be a GENTLE Soul, who started life off with my brother in the South. We were found together severely neglected and nearly starved to death. They named me Princess because I should have been treated like royalty from the start. I think I'm very pretty and that I have very soulful eyes that look into your heart. My favorite things to do are be with MY PERSON, that's most important to me so, I love to cuddle, lay quietly by you (whether you are working at home or just relaxing, hugs, but will not bark when you are busy. I love my chew and squeaky toys and a good bone keep me busy. I am a bit of a Velcro dog, and I am still a bit puppyish, but am VERY calm and patient on leash. I know a lot of commands and working on more of them. I am doing really well with my house training but will need some direction from you, cause I really want to please . Perhaps we could play frisbee? Or I could rest in the grass under a nice tree. I do not chase little animals or birds but I like to watch. I love my walks, furry friends and am good with kids. Oh, yes and car rides are the best. I think I may do better with a quieter home cause I am chill. Our dogs are in foster care and we do NOT have a shelter or boarding facility. AN APPLICATION MUST BE COMPLETED IN FULL AND APPROVED BEFORE A DOG CAN BE MET. This is a firm policy. Our busy volunteers are not able to respond to questions about the dog or dog meeting requests in the absence of an application. We know these dogs very well because they are in foster care. Please read the profiles of the dog(s) you are interested in prior to submitting an application. If there are specific requirements stated (ie: Fenced Yard or Canine Friend Required) these are included because they are vital to the happiness, health, safety and adoption success of that dog. We are only able to save as many dogs as we have foster homes (https://www.anewchancear.org/foster/faqs/) and resources for. We provide medical care including vaccinations, testing, deworming, spaying/neutering and microchipping before transporting our dogs. We provide all supplies, preventatives and any follow up vet care necessary while they are in foster care. These costs are high and the number of lives we can save is entirely dependent upon donations from people like you. We do not receive funding from private foundations or government sources.
