I have had Mac for about two years. I got him at 11 months. We have done a board and train with Ridgside K9 and worked with a few other trainers here and there. We were prescribed Fluoxetine and Clonidine by a behaviorist, which has helped immensely. He is reactive on a leash to other dogs. We used to do doggy daycare, and when I lived in a house with a fenced-in backyard (last year) we lived with another dog and would have dog friends over. I haven't felt confident in my own dog behavior perceptions to introduce him to any more dogs since the reactivity increased, but he was able to walk around in a group training atmosphere with a lot of coaxing. He has never bit a person but he is unsure of new things and generally lacks impulse control. He would need someone who is consistent and firm. One dog bite where he got the tip of a cocker spaniel's ear (on leash intro). He is generally very sweet, and I think, with someone else, might live a very fulfilling life. He is muzzle, crate, and housetrained and knows basic commands and some more advanced ones. He is high drive and food motivated.
