About Maxx

Looking to rehome my dog Maxx. I just can't afford his medications anymore. He is a 5 years old Australian shepard mix. He is neutered. He hasn't really taken to training but does know basic commands. He just chooses when to follow them. He was born with bowed femurs? (I think that's the bone), so he needs pain medicine to make walking less painful. He does do fine on flat ground, better than stairs, without it, but I live in a second story apartment. I feed him a kibble with chondroitin in it to help. He is also allergic to fleas and gets hot spots if his flea medication wears off. He is up to date in his vaccines. He is kennel trained, but needs a heavy-duty kennel for his anxiety. He does bark and jump on people as they enter the house but usually stops after they pet him. He is good with children, but may accidently knock over littles. He is used to other animals but has been known to lunge and bark at unknown pets. He also WILL steal any unattended people food even though it makes him sick. He's a good dog. I just can't give him what he needs, and I can tell it is making life worse for him.
