About Tessie

Lab / Collie
Age: Young Puppy
Sex: Female

TESSIE RAE is a loving, social 4 month old lab /collie /terrier mix looking for a family who will include her in their lives. Very sweet natured, precious girl who loves to cuddle, snuggle and get belly rubs. Loves all people and dogs. She would enjoy another dog playmate in the home to teach her the ropes and be a companion, but would also be ok as an only dog getting all of your attention. Has been with children as young as 4 years old and was good with them. Happy, resilient lovebug who wants to please her humans. Knows basic commands 'sit, potty outside, no, give a kiss' and would love to learn more if taught. Medium energy girl who will be a great hiking / activity / adventure buddy when full grown. Her foster family is working with her on housetraining and she is doing well, so her new family will need to be committed to continuing to work with her. Working on crate training, which is where she sleeps through the night. Rides well in the car; lays down enjoying the ride. Likes chew toys, treats and being with her people. Has not shown destructive behaviors inside or outside, but she is still in the puppy chewing stage. Not a big barker, but will alert you to unusual noise, calming down fast. Ignored cats. Beautiful expressive eyes on this girl. She enjoys being held by her foster mom who sings her good night songs before going to bed. Such a lovable pup! The best home for Tessie would be one committed to continuing her training and engaging her so that she grows into a well balanced adult pup. Tessie Rae is currently 20 lbs. (expected to be 40ish lbs when full grown), microchipped, up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative and current on prevention. She will come with a spay addendum contract and the adopter will need to have her spayed at an appropriate age. This beautiful girl can be transported to Colorado or the PNW for an additional fee.
