About Max

Max is a 7 y/o Beagle who I 'adopted' from a lady who could no longer care for him & his sibling Layla properly. I took them because she had been trying to rehome them unsucessfully & was about to bring them to the shelter here in Charlotte where they would have been euthanized due to overcrowding.When Max & Layla came stay with us they needed attention. They were both on the thin side. Max had a severe infection in both ears requiring antibiotics & steroids, He had untreated seasonal allergies which made his skin itchy.His vaccines were expired.He spent most of his day crated. Now he is a happy,healthy,playful,rowdy at times (in a good way), boy. He loves toys, playing with & chasing his sister Layla in the back yard. His allergies are well controlled with 1 generic Zyrtec tab a day.A 6ft fenced yard , or lots of acreage in the country would be ideal for this loveable , highly intelligent boy. I think Max would love having older kids to play with & chase him around.He & his sister Layla are definitely a bonded pair so keeping them together would be best for them both. PLEASE - only serious, committed, loving, responsible people should apply to adopt this special boy & his sister.
