About Ariel

Adoption Fee: $60
Lab mix
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Female

Meet Ariel! Ariel is our longest resident and has been in shelter since March 31st, that's 87 days here. When Ariel was first surrendered to the shelter back in March, we were sure she would find an adopter fast. Unfortunately, it has been a long wait for Ariel with no end in sight. When she first arrived, she struggled greatly with the change in environment from home to a world of nothing but metal cages and barking dogs. She also had flea dermatitis when she first arrived to the shelter which caused her to lose fur on her entire back end. Ariel was integrated into our mutli-dog play yards a little over a month ago and has been doing great outside. She does get along well with other dogs but would do best in a home with other dogs who are as playful as she is. Ariel can be a bit rowdy, so we think she would do best in a home with older kids only to ensure they can keep up with her. In her future home, she will need to be kept on flea prevention for the rest of her life. She has a flea allergy which caused her to have flea dermatitis for a while, which has now healed, but we'd like to prevent another outbreak for her if possible. Ariel is a very loving girl who soaks up any attention she can get. She really enjoys butt scratches, and would love to be someone's cuddle buddy. Ariel is a three-year-old Labrador retriever who currently weighs 47 pounds. She has been vaccinated, dewormed and tested for heartworm disease which she is negative for. She is also negative for all tick-borne diseases! She is already spayed thanks to our donors! Please share our adoptable pets to help them find their forever homes. Located at the Brownsville Haywood County Animal Shelter in Brownsville, Tennessee. The adoption fee is $60. We have no pull fee and can help arrange transport for local 501c3 rescue groups.
