About Raya

Meet Raya! This lovely approx 2 yr old dutch shepherd/terrier mix is Raya. Raya probably doesn't have a whole lot of reasons be the ray of sunshine she is, but we sure do appreciate it. Raya came to us from a rescue partner when her family reached out to them because she had 7 puppies and they were looking for help with the puppies. They were supposed to come to us once she had weaned them and we were going to spay Raya and allow her to remain with her family. Imagine all of our horror when we learned 4 puppies had died and Raya was very underweight. Of course our rescue partner took them all. Raya recuperated and now looks and feels great. Most of all she doesn't hold a grudge at all. She can be a bit timid and nervous in new situations (I mean, she has had a ton of changes) but all she does is lean into a human for comfort. She rides in a car like a perfect little lady and just sits on her seat. Raya is good with other dogs and could be adopted to a home with another dog, or be your one and only. Most of all we want her to be the star of her story, loved and appreciated. Raya is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and tested heartworm negative.
