I have had Sage for a year and a half. She is fun, affectionate with her people, and very goofy! She is absolutely hilarious and full of personality. She is very smart and willing to learn. She is easy to train and food motivated. Sage was found on the South Ute reservation and I adopted her last year. I am a single teacher living in a camper with 3 rescue dogs. I recently found out that another one of my dogs is Heartworm positive (Sage is negative). I love Sage so much and will be keeping her until I can find the perfect home for her. She gets along great with other dogs and always wants to play. She is the perfect partner for an active person, she loves hiking, running, biking, backpacking, playing on the river, you name it! Sage is your adventure dog! I am not sure how she is with kids, I don't have many young kids in my life, so I don't know how she would be with them. She's fine with kids we pass on walks and lets kids pet her. She is pretty rambunctious sometimes, so I think older kids would be a better fit for her. She is definitely fine with teenagers, I teach high school and she's totally fine with my students. Sage is well loved and cared for, but I am struggling with being able to give her the attention, training, and energy that she deserves and needs. It is also very tight on me financially, being a teacher and having two other dogs. I love Sage and will be gladly keeping her until the perfect fit for her comes along.
