About Kenya

LOCATION: El Paso, Texas DOB: 03/24/2017 Meet Kenya! She is the sweetest most loving girl with soulful eyes. One look and your heart melts. Kenya definitely came from a place where she didn't know how to 'dog'. With her foster parents she is learning what real love is and how to live the best life! She is kennel trained and house trained. She is her Foster Momma's shadow and doesn't like it much when her momma leaves. When her mom goes into another room, Kenya likes the door to be cracked so she can peek in and be sure she isn't missing anything too exciting. This sweet girl has been introduced to cats and small children when she was at the vet's office and did fine. But given her unknown history, slow and controlled and supervised introductions would be important. Kenya is not so great on a leash. It's probably a foreign concept to her and she just wants to run and pull, and for a little nugget Dane, she is STRONG! Leash training is in full swing. She will get there! Her playful personality is starting to shine through now that she is safe and in a loving environment. She loves to zoom around the backyard and play peek-a-boo with her foster mom. And she is quite the 'talker' in her sleep. Her dreams must be full of happy homes and loving folks now because she just chats away with them all night long! Kenya does have a (BIG) foster brother and they get along very well. But, Little Miss is extremely needy, only because she may have not ever had love from someone. There is no aggression. She would be okay with another dog, but her foster mom believes she would thrive as an only dog. She needs someone to love on her, give her belly rubs & smooches... and maybe a treat here or there. You wouldn't hear a 'no' from this little lovebug on any of those things.
