We got Louie at 7 months old from a hunter, he was in very bad condition and we think he'd been mistreated. He is a very sweet dog and very affectionate. We can take Louie anywhere and he is very good with all other dogs but shows his dominance over our other male beagle, for this reason we think he's better suited to be the only dog in a household. We don't let him in our bed because he has a startle reflex and has snapped at us, he is crate trained. He hasn't ever showed aggression to our children but because of the startle reflex he has in a bed we feel he is better suited for a home without children, although he loves kids! We have no worries about taking him to dog parks or socializing with people or kids, just has the issue if he's in a bed, so we just don't allow him in the bed. Louie is a very loving little guy and we have given him lots of love, but feel he is a better fit as a online dog without children. We really want to find him a loving home!
