About Oaklie

Australian Cattle Dog
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Female

OAKLIE is a very sweet, super athletic 1 year old Australian Cattle dog looking for a family to include her in their lives. She has a good energy level with puppy-like play and zoomies at times, but is also able to chill and relax for a portion of the day. Enjoys cuddle time on the couch with her humans. Will make a great running/hiking partner. Oaklie has a cute little prance, like a dance when she is happy - it is adorable to watch. Dog and cat friendly. Loves to play chase with other dogs, toys, stuffed animals, treats and chew on bones. Would love another playful dog in her new home for company, but will be happy as an only dog if she's included in her human's activities and life. House trained when taken out in a timely manner. Crate trained Kid friendly. We are recommending 10 and over, because littles could get knocked over with her excited play. Walks well on leash, working on recall for off leash. Intelligent girl who has already learned 'sit, here, kennel, up, down, no ma'am' and would love to learn more if taught. Rides well in the car. Has not shown any destructive behavior inside or outside, but she is not left unattended. Sleeps through the night in her own bed or crate. Not a big barker, but will alert you to strangers at the door. A very sweet girl who came into our rescue a bit insecure with low confidence and has been blossoming. Her foster mom has done a great job and she is now a happy girl who gets excited jumping up to give hugs, so needs some work on 'all paws on the ground'. She is not a needy girl, can be independent at times, but does still like the companionship of her humans. Really loud noises scare her, so a suburban life with a 6' fenced yard would be best for her. Apartments will not be considered. Oaklie is 48 lbs, microchipped, spayed, up to date on vaccines, including rabies, heartworm negative and current on prevention. *In addition to her adoption fee, this sweet girl can be transported to Colorado, Oregon or Washington for an additional fee.
