About Lola

[Read About Natural Incontinence Care] Lola lost the use of her back legs about 3 years ago due to a herniated disc that surgery failed to fix. She has no feeling in the back part of her body and is unable to use the bathroom by herself. Her bladder needs expressed and she also needs assistance with B.M. She does have accidents at times since she cannot feel anything. Lola does have a cart she uses to move around, loves people, is very affectionate, gets along with our 2 dogs and is just a little skeptical of our 2 cats (she only has cat experience for the last year when my partner and I combined households). She loves to play fetch and tug of War with plush toys, loves bones but her brother tries to steal them from her. The only growls I hear from her are when sharing bones. She licks anyone to death that comes in the door, I've never seen her be evenly remotely aggressive towards a human, even before her accident. She loves to nap in the sun and seems satisfied with going in her cart once a day to explore. She is a little bit of a scavenger, and has gotten into trash or open pantries when we're not looking. Don't let her disability fool you, she gets around. We had twins in October and we regretably just can't dedicate the time to her care anymore while taking care of the other pets and children. We don't make this decision easily, we want everyone to have the best life.
