About Pepper

PEPPER is a super cuddly, affectionate 2 year old Australian Cattle dog mix looking for a family to include him in their lives. Medium energy boy who is calm, yet playful. He will be your most loyal snuggly companion for tv/movie time on the couch. Doesn't need a lot of activity, but would be happy to go on adventures with you to cafe's, farmer's markets, parks, etc. Loves all dogs; big and small. Ok with cats. Lives with them in his foster home. House trained. Crate trained. Has learned basic commands 'kennel up, potty outside, let's go for a walk, and treat time'. Would happily learn more if taught. Sleeps through the night. Enjoys going for walks. Likes to go places with his humans, just needs some more positive trips to be completely comfortable in the car. Pepper had a sad previous life before he was rescued from Mexico where he had been abused and starved. But you would never know it because he's the sweetest boy! Good with older kids, so we are recommending 10 years old and over. Being outside is one of his favorite things, so only homes with a fully fenced yard will be considered. Happy in a home with another dog or as an only dog getting all of your attention. When Pepper came into our rescue, he was emaciated, so still working with some food issues around other dogs. This is a non issue if he is fed in his crate. Has not shown any separation anxiety while his foster mom is at work. Pepper is 45 lbs. spayed, microchipped, up to date on vaccines, including rabies, has been treated for heartworms and current on prevention. *In addition to his adoption fee, this sweet boy can be transported to CO, OR or WA for an additional fee.
