About Meatball

During his brief stay at the local shelter (a couple of years ago) Meatball was what we call a playgroup rock star. That means he loved to play with other dogs and was helpful in getting them to play. He was adopted a couple years ago and while he co-exists fine with the families 2 elderly small dogs, those dogs have no interest in playing with him. Add to that a busy life/social schedule for the family and kids and Meatball's need and want to play, rough house and be the big goofy dog he is has been going unmet for quite a while. That has left him feeling and acting frustrated and his family would like to find him a home where Meatball can be Meatball. That means someone with time to invest in his need to play, perhaps access to other social dogs who like to play rough and a willingness to rebuild his social skills (he is a little rusty now, and has some pent up frustration). He is an amazing dog who has shown himself to be kid friendly, little dog friendly and used be very, very dog social. He needs to find his tribe. Currently in Ventura.
