About Julie

Hi, this is Julie. She is a senior dog that I am rehoming for my girlfriend because she is relocating for work and cannot take her with her so I have elected to find Julie a new and loving owner. I moved back to San Diego recently with Julie and have noticed some traits in her that I haven't known about her until living with other dogs. First of all, Julie is a very sweet and affectionate dog. She loves being with you, cuddling, playing and following you around. She's a fantastic nap companion. She's trained to use dog pee pads indoors and has become used to also using the restroom outside. She hasn't lived with other dogs until I moved back to my mother's house and that has become an issue. She can get anxious with other dogs and be aggressive, especially around food. For the most part she's been calm but there have been a few outbursts where she will attack my mother's small dogs. When she's startled or disciplined she can get scared and nip at you but she's only done it to me a couple times and for the most part and all around she isn't an aggressive dog. But because of that I suggest that she not be too associated with children. Ideally I think she is best suited to be a single dog owned by either a couple or single person who can give her the amount of love and attention she desires. I encourage everyone to consider adopting senior dogs, over a year ago I adopted my own senior dog and he's currently my best friend and the joy I get from seeing him happy and know that he's loved in his old age is the most heartwarming thing I've ever felt.
