About Harley

LOCATION: Falls City, Nebraska DOB: 03/28/2018 Word around here is that you are looking to add a quirky, furry friend to your family. Well, guess what? I am looking to join up with a family and I happen to be quirky as all get out and I have loads of beautiful fur all over me. Coincidence? I think not. My job is to make you feel good. I have lots of energy and I don't tire out easily. I can stay up and chit-chat as long as you need me to. I'm there for you 100 percent. And when it's time for bed, we can lay together and I will keep my nose under the blanket so you stay nice and toasty. When you come home, I will be the first one at the door with a toy in my mouth. I know how comforting those toys are for people. (Especially the really wet and wringy ones.) And if you have a piece of cardboard laying around you want picked up-I'm on it. And I know how important hugs are for humans so I pride myself on giving good ones. But I have my own unique style of hugging-I will wrap one leg around your leg and then rest my head against your leg so you can feel my heartbeat and you can scratch at my soft, furry head. It's like being wrapped in a cozy, soft blanket that has warm breath and smells like milk bones. It's perfect. Outdoors is where I will do my business. You can't change my mind about that. And if you are thirsty, I will happily share the water from the hose with you. I do find I can be my best self when I am allowed to free-roam the house. When locked in a kennel it is much more difficult to monitor the comings and goings. I don't mind if you have other animals in the house with me, though. I find cats are okay. Playing Tag with them keeps all of us active. I do enjoy children but the littlest ones have so much trouble staying on their feet when I brush past them! And having dog friends is nice, as long as they don't try to eat off my plate. That's just rude. I've been staying at a foster home and I feel like I've done some really good work here but I think my heart is finally ready to settle down with one family. There's no shortage of love left in this quirky girl. So I'll see you when I see you I guess. Until then, take care of yourself.
