About Zeus

Location- Colchester Essex. This is Zeus. Is around 3 1/2 years old. unneutured male. He is a lurcher (spaniel x whippet. He has had a bite history with his previous owner and has nipped children on 3 occasions. The owner was going to have him PTS. I have had him in my foster care for a few months and he has become the most loving loyal dog. I was told before fostering Zeus that he was completely dog friendly, which I needed him to be as I have two other dogs. I was also told many other things that were not the case but I have been having to keep him and my dogs seperate for months due to his resource guarding. It isn't fair on him or my dogs and also Unfortunately I cannot keep onto him as I am also going away. I had told the back up rescue this and I have been assured for months he would be founds a place before I go. It has now come to two weeks before I'm going and still nothingness is sorted. He was offered a home but I was told the person couldn't have him for two weeks. This has now turned into four weeks and now have been told the owner cannot afford to get him transported to him even though he's had four weeks to sort this. I'm absolutely panicking as I do not want him to end up in kennels. It will do him no favours and I believe will undo all the work I've done with him. He needs a home with no children and no other pets ideally or someone who would be willing to do really slow careful introductions. He honestly has come so far and i truly believe he would make such a loving companion he just needs some 1-1 time. Once he trusts you he will be your best friend. If anyone could help I would appreciate it massively. Trying to do everything I can to keep this sweet boy out of kennels
