Athena *7 yr old female Great Dane *Spayed & UTD on vet care, vaccines and preventatives *Good with other dogs *Good with cats *Good with horses *Kids 8+ yrs old unless they have recently lived with a gushy breed dog *House trained & can be trusted left out unattended *NO apartments or attached style condo housing *Location Charlotte NC area Athena is affectionate and obedient. She wants to be by your side every moment. She knows how to sit and takes treats gently.��%BD%A0 One of her greatest pleasures is cuddling and leaning on the those she loves.��%BD%A0 She had separation anxiety when she arrived but has conquered it with the help of my pack. Because of that, however, she would do best in a home with other dogs or someone who is home more often than not.��%BD%A0She enjoys doing zoomies around the yard throughout the day and then coming inside for naps in between. She would love a fenced yard but would do ok without one if taken for walks a couple times daily.��%BD%A0 She is good with dogs, cats and horses and has a submissive personality. She is house trained but not crate trained as she wasn't a fan of it and can be trusted left out alone. She is a fabulous watchdog (she barks a lot). She tells me when my husband arrives home before I hear him myself. She actually even alerted me to a fire in a nearby neighborhood! She wouldn't stop barking one night so I got up and saw a fire in the distance and called 911. Therefore NO apartments or attached style condo housing. Her only 'flaw' is that she's the world's best counter surfer. If food is left out, she will most definitely get it. On a positive note, her talent makes me keep an immaculate kitchen!��%BD%A0 I do not recommend her for a home with small children or elderly people as she is oblivious to her size. Athena is spayed and UTD on vaccines and preventatives. She is located in a foster home in the Charlotte NC area.��%BD%A0 We adopt NATIONWIDE but require adopters to travel to the foster home with their current dog/dogs (to ensure they will be friends) to pick up.
