Koda is a red Australian Cattledog mix who is ready for his new home. He was born in September, 2020 and weighs 65 pounds. Koda knows a lot: Stay, Sit, out (if he has something in his mouth), leave it, come, rings doorbell if he needs to go outside for restroom, and an automatic sit when on a walk and his person stops. He also knows some tricks: Fist bump, shake, high five, spin, 'pew, pew' turns over on belly and plays dead. He is also house trained. Koda is good with other dogs and enjoys dog parks. He has a big play style, so his dog pals should have a similar style. Koda loves to play fetch. He is also good in the car. He would be a great dog for someone who loves outdoor activities. Koda does prefer a polite introduction to new people. He also is a good watch dog, and once nipped a stranger who entered his yard without a proper introduction. Due to this, he isn't a fit for homes with kids unless they are high school age or older. Koda has two quirks: he can be leash reactive of dogs or people get too close, and he can resource guard if someone tries to take things from him (just ask him to step away from the item and it's not a problem). Koda is smart and learns new tricks/commands quickly. He is always ready to play and affectionate. Loves to be rubbed and cuddle in the morning. He would be a great dog for someone who knows herders and similar types of dogs. Koda is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations. He is located in Los Angeles, CA. Adopters must be able to meet and adopt here. We do not ship our dogs. A home visit and vet reference are required to adopt.
