About Prayer

Prayer Male-Neutered 1 year, American Stafforshire Terrier Mix Weight:55lbs, Microchipped, Heart worm Negative UTD on all vaccines/Preventatives. Prayer is a loving, energetic little guy that wants all the cuddles and enjoys playing fetch! He likes spending time with his fellow foster fur-babies! He is pee pad potty trained indoors and will go to the door to go outside! Crate training was too easy for him along with being dog, cat and kid friendly. He is a true blessing and joy to be around! The Lord called us to Prayer, March 2, 2023. His family had abandoned him in their home in Mission, Texas. Neighbors and a kind lady Dionne Wright looked after him with feedings, visits and comfort. When we originally rescued Prayer, he had been named Red and he didn't quite respond to it. A few days after having him, we wanted to know more about this silly baby! We started going through Facebook where we initially had came across Prayer from being networked. We found pictures and videos of him sitting in an empty home, looking as sad and lonely as he could be. In one video, Dionne Wright was visiting with Prayer in the home he was left in and stated she had named him Prayer because she was praying someone would come for him! Who knew he would be our very first to actually fall under our rescue and named 'Prayer' Gods hands and blessings are all over this boys life! We contacted Dionne Wright and let her know how grateful we were that she had taken care of him and that we wanted to honor her serving the Lord in what she did by changing his name from Red to Prayer, which he answers to every time! I play that video of Dionne Wright talking to him and he lights up when he hears her voice. Dionne Wright definitely was an Angel sent by the Lord to help this sweet boy find his fur-ever home! He has thrived so much just in the four weeks he has been with Paws4Christ Animal Rescue! His favorite part of the day is spending time with other foster fur-babies, he gets along with everyone so well. He sometimes acts as if he is scared to eat, not sure that trauma he holds onto, but we spoon feed on those days that are very rare. This sweetheart loves the indoors more than being outside for sure. He gets these hilarious looks, that are plum cute and pitiful!
