About Barry White

Barry White is a loveable and wonderful pet to our family. Much like many people though we mistakenly thought we could handle a giant breed dog and we just can't. Our yard is chain link and he's discovered in the last couple of months that he can jump clear over the fence. He, stereotypically, does not like the mailman. This has become and issue we are genuinely concerned about. He jumps the fence and chases the mailman. We've received one fine from our city because of this issue and we are really scared it's going to turn into a forced euthanasia if he actually bites the mailman. We have 3 other dogs that he's been raised with since 11 weeks and he gets along with the females well. He doesn't like stranger dogs around when he's in the yard but does fine if approached when we are out on walks. He's apprehensive about children but has never indicated that he'd snap or bite a child. He's just highly avoidant of them. We are truly heartbroken. As his dog mom and a dog mom to 3 others I never thought there would be a day that I rehomed any animal that I took responsibilty for. I say this so that anyone interested understands that I am desperate for him to go to a loving home. I want nothing but the best for Barry because he deserves it. I've got many more photos if anyone is interested. In every picture his goofy and sweet personality shines though.
