About Remy

I've had Remi since she was five weeks old. She'll be two in June. I have a three-year-old daughter who loves animals but when Remi was a puppy her back, Paw was broken by bigger dog, who stepped on it we took it to the vet. We fix the issue but now anytime someone goes to pet or touch or accidentally put their foot around that back Paw that was broken. Remy will just growl or. Snap even never actually bit have to make sure my child does not touch that back Paw because I'm scared Remi is gonna bite her if she don't get off when she growls witch I jump any time I hear it but other than that she's good with my child. She is food aggressive tho She does not like sharing food . My parents have a boxer and a St. Bernard and neither one of them can go around Remi while she's eating we separate them but when we're going there was one altercation between Remi and my parents, St. Bernard and it ended up in bloodshed. We don't know what started it, but we think that it was because Remi was eaten, and the St. Bernard had walked over towards her, and she just kinda turned and started snapping. It wasn't as if we couldn't handle the situation it's just more so we don't want to have to deal with that type of situation. Especially because I do have a three-year old she's very lovable dog. She loves to sleep in the bed. She loves to be pet and loved on. It's just certain things with her. I can't maintain especially with a three year old running around because she loves to be on remy and love on remy but these past couple of months Remi has kind of been off with the baby running around i'm just trying to do what's best for everybody. I don't want my child to be harmed, so I'm choosing to rehome Remi just in case that actually happens. Everybody assumes that she is aggressive because she is a pit. I have never had an altercation with a human and Remi ever nor a dog up until the last two months and due to this being my parents home I can't make them get rid of their dog who's been here longer than I've had Remi I just want me to go to a good home and I don't want her to be put down so I'm choosing to do this site first before calling shelters she's pit mixed with a little bit of hound dog in her. I don't know what type of hound dog.
